VOICE TALENT FAQS

  • A script, a signed contract, a signed NAVA Waiver agreeing not to use my audio for AI or to train AI, and a deposit of 50% of the total budget for the project.

  • Yes, I have many demos in the genres that I work in that you can browse, listen to and download. If you would like me to record a custom sample of your script, I would be happy to do that.

  • I record projects on my own and in live-directed sessions upon request. 

  • Yes, through Zoom, Source Connect, Google Meets or another similar platform. 

  • I need final script, the pronunciations for all words such as names, abbreviations, etc., the tone of the project, the audience you are targeting or speaking to, information about what music will be added (if any) and the pacing you are after. The more information I have about what you are looking for in your project, the better. If I have all of this before I begin, we can save time and I can deliver exactly what you need straight away, without the need for revisions and extra sessions.

  • Yes, it is something I am quite familiar with and comfortable doing.  I want you to be happy with your project and will do whatever possible so that you love it!

  • I follow the GVAA Rate guide and consider the type of project, its length and its usage.

  • The recording fee, any studio time, and any mistakes made by me which will be re-recorded for free.  A full edit is an extra fee.

  • 24-48 hours.

  • Yes, this is negotiable and always available.

  • The more information I have before the initial recording helps ensure you get what you are looking for straight away.  I deliver at least 2 takes standard. One round of revisions are included, depending on the length of the project. Script changes require an additional fee.

  • Small pickups can be arranged. Anything that is considered a revision or script change will incur an additional fee after the initial recording.

  • I can give you a custom sample of your script and we can discuss your expectations and needs for your event to help you decide.

  • Live events, VOG, live sports, awards, medals ceremonies, events needing an emcee, just about anything!

  • As soon as you are able. I am often able to fit in events. Please contact me for availability at any time.

  • Yes.

  • If there is a script, I need that in advance, as soon as it is ready. Ideally we have a meeting by phone or zoom to discuss the particulars of the event - your expectations and requirements and that helps me to prepare.

  • As much as you are able to provide. A telephone consultation or zoom call is helpful to discuss the specifics of your event.

  • A show runner, producer, production team, host, whoever you prefer.

  • The are not required. I can always accommodate rehearsals, based on your preference.

  • It depends on the scope of your event and whether travel is involved. This is decided on a case-by-case basis.

  • Fee to announce, fee for rehearsal(s) and travel time and associated travel expenses.

  • We can discuss this in our pre-event meeting or at the time of booking.

  • I can handle it and have been in this situation many times before. I can make specific announcements as requested, or use my own judgment depending on what happens. I have a lot of experience working in live environments and am comfortable and am not easily rattled in these moments.

  • Delays are not a problem. For both, I will make the appropriate announcements, as instructed or using my own judgment, depending on what happens, and what we agree on, before the event begins.

  • Yes, I am comfortable speaking off script and can adjust and fill in, if this happens.

  • Arenas, sports facilities, outdoors, ballrooms, conference centers, wherever your event is happening. 

  • Yes.

  •  I will meet with the organizer or designated contact person onsite to check in about the event before leaving the site.
